Admission requirements  

The criteria for enrolling in the Degree Course in Natural Resources Management for Tropical Rural Development (Italian Degree Class LM-69) for the oncoming academic year are:

  • Graduates from Italian university courses of classes L-25 (D.M. 270/04) and 20 (D.M. 509/99), as well as graduates in Agricultural Sciences, Forestry Sciences and equivalent courses, according to ante-D.M. 509/99 classifications, can access without any integrative activity/course.
  • Other applicants with a bachelor (BSc) degree in other scientific disciplines, obtained in Italy or abroad and recognized as suitable by the Admission Committe, need to have taken the following exams:

The missing exams can be taken at the University of Florence or at other Universities.

To satisfy the English language proficiency requirements, students must either:

  • be resident in a country where English is the official language;
  • give evidence that their undergraduate course was taught entirely in English;
  • hold an English language certificate at European B2 level (Cambridge First certificate, TOEFL, IELTS, or any equivalent or higher certification) 

Basic computer skills (e.g. writing, numeracy ...) are useful prerequisites

Admission to the master's degree programs with no restricted attendance of students

Entry requirements

a.   Bachelor’s degree or other adequate foreign academic qualification

b.   Possession of a nulla osta (permission of enrolment) released from the chosen School

How to obtain for the evaluation

-> If you hold an academic degree obtained in Italy

1.   You must be registered in the online student services platform.

2.   Access the online services platform and follow: menu->segreteria->nulla osta laurea magistrale

 

Upload carefully all the required attachments** and submit your enrolment request.                                           

      ** enrolment form with date and signature (click here to download) 

          valid ID card or passport

          self-declaration of exams taken, with date and signature (no: certificate or other official document)

          self-declaration of English language knowledge (level B2 of QCER) 

3.   Wait for the chosen School to examine and evaluate the application (usually within 30 days).

       - if accepted (idoneo), you obtained a nulla osta and are allowed to proceed with the online enrolment

       - if not accepted (non idoneo), you will have one or multiple educational debts (debiti formativi) and will be told which exams you must take before you can have your nulla osta. The exams can be taken with single subjects (corsi singoli).

 

-> If you hold an academic degree obtained outside of Italy (EU and non EU)

You will apply exclusively through DreamApply, according to the deadlines indicated on the website. Applicants who have not yet obtained their bachelor’s degree will not be considered.

Once your request has been evaluated, you will follow the instructions on the DreamApply website.

INTAKE ROUNDS OPEN TO ALL APPLICANTS

First intake: From 2 January to 23 February 2024. Outcomes will be notified by the admission boards by 15 March 2024

Second intake: From 18 March to 17 May 2024. Outcomes will be notified by the admission boards by 21 June 2024

 

INTAKE ROUND OPEN ONLY TO EU CITIZENS AND NON-EU CITIZENS ALREADY RESIDING IN ITALY

Third intake: From 8 July to 30 August 2024. Outcomes will be notified by the admission boards by 20 September 2024
